CARS & STRIPES FOREVER!
RETURNING TO THE LA WATERFRONT...WITH A BANG!

The ever-popular Cars & Stripes Forever!® event, will be held on Friday, June 26, from 5 - 9 p.m. and is the perfect way to jump-start the celebration of America's 250th Anniversary and the Centennial of the historic Route 66!

NEW LOCATION: We are excited to announce that Cars & Stripes Forever! will be held for the first time in front of the Battleship IOWA, at 250 S. Harbor Blvd., San Pedro, CA 90731.

This free, family-friendly event is free and open to all ages. Guests will enjoy viewing dozens of pre-1975 classic cars and motorcycles on display, live local entertainment, a stroll through the beer garden, and a tempting assortment of food trucks serving up delicious local cuisine. A dazzling fireworks finale will crown the evening at 9 p.m.

The Port will accept applications from exhibitors to display their classic vehicles until all spots are full.  Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

NEW THIS YEAR: CLASSIC CAR FAN FAVORITE AWARDS!

All awards at Cars & Stripes Forever! follow clear and fair criteria. The Cop Magnet Award is chosen solely by the Los Angeles Port Police. The People’s Choice Award is determined by votes from all attendees — everyone attending the event is encouraged to participate. The Longest Haul Award recognizes the participant who traveled the farthest. The Timeless Machine Award honors the oldest verified vehicle in the show.
"PEOPLE'S CHOICE"
Decided by votes from all 2026 Cars & Stripes Forever! event attendees. Everyone is invited to vote for their favorite vehicle.
"COP MAGNET"
Selected by the Los Angeles Port Police, they choose the vehicle they believe will attract the most attention and embody a true “cop magnet.”
"LONGEST HAUL"
Awarded to the participant who traveled the greatest verified distance to display their classic car in the 2026 Cars & Stripes Forever! show.
"TIMELESS MACHINE"
Presented to the oldest verified vehicle registered in the show, honoring its enduring presence and historical significance.

PARK & RIDE THE FREE RED TROLLEY


PARKING OPTIONS: 

Cars & Stripes Forever will take place in the lot in front of the Battleship IOWA.
Parking will also be available at the adjacent Catalina Island Terminal for a flat rate of $5 for the evening.  Overnight parking is not permitted.
 

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:

     1. Los Angeles Maritime Museum lot at 6th & Harbor (paid)

     2. Downtown San Pedro (metered street parking, free after 6 p.m.)

     3. 5th & Mesa lot (paid)

     4. Topaz Building at 222 West 6th Street (paid) 

FREE TROLLEYS PARK & RIDE:
There are two FREE parking lots located at 22nd & Miner Street or 22nd & Harbor Blvd., and two FREE Red Trolleys will be cruising by approximately every 15 minutes between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday, June 26th on a dedicated route to pick up at the two free lots and drop off at the event at the Battleship IOWA. The Red Trolleys will shuttle both directions between the event and the lots until 10 p.m.
NEW: RED TROLLEY TRACKING SYSTEM tells you when the next Red Trolley will arrive at your stop.

RED TROLLEY TRACKER

The Red Trolley will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 26, and will pick up and drop off at each of the four stops along the route approximately every 15 minutes. Park in one of two FREE lots on 22nd Street, get picked up by one of two FREE historic Red Trolleys at the stops on 22nd Street, and ride it straight to the Cars & Stripes Forever! event at the Battleship IOWA.
